The Community Outreach Club provides an avenue for osmotic learning by reaching out and interacting with communities around us. There, we share what we are imbued with and learn what other communities are doing well. Where we cannot physically visit, we do so through the pages of history.
Together we strive for a better world through knowledge and skills acquisition. Ultimately, we seek to nurture future change-makers who will not only work to think outside the box but throw the box away!

Through a balanced mix of physical activities, skills development, voluntary service and adventurous journeys, participants build confidence and a sense of responsibility.

“Service above self”
As a branch of Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Solwezi, the Interact Club of Sentinel Kabitaka embodies the value of service to the community which (by definition) encompasses the school and wider Solwezi community. Donations of school materials to sister schools, planting of an orchard and donating baby hamper materials to mothers in the general hospital have been some of our past activities. Fight Period Poverty is a long-term welfare project designed to empower female students who are unable to attend school because of lack of access to sanitary pads.
The Student Council is a service body consisting of representatives from each class who champion the welfare needs of their fellow students. Ours is a collective of future leaders focused on employing critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork to raise finances that are used in the service of others. Money raised by the Student Council is often donated to organizers of school-wide events to procure awards for participants or tokens of appreciation for event judges. Donations have been collected from the school community and handed to identified recipients countrywide.
Sentinel Kabitaka School promotes environmental awareness by educating students on cross-cutting issues affecting the planet like pollution, conservation and sustainability. Through lessons, eco-friendly initiatives and hands-on activities, students develop responsible habits to keep their environment clean and safe.
Participation in environmental clubs and projects fosters a commitment to protecting the planet, ensuring long-term ecological stewardship.
