Project Head: Systems Integration 

Role Purpose 

Educore is a growing group of schools seeking an experienced Head of Systems Integration to lead a project that will optimise its core operational systems. The role has a strong focus on payroll management, statutory compliance, and ensuring seamless interoperability between systems across multiple schools. The successful candidate will also lead automation initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. 

The position is based in Solwezi, NW province Zambia and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.  

Key Responsibilities 

Payroll & Compliance

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across all Educore schools. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all statutory returns and payments. 
  • Maintain payroll data integrity, confidentiality, and legislative compliance. 
  • Act as systems owner for payroll platforms, including configuration and optimisation. 

Systems Integration 

  • Integrate payroll systems (Sage People) with the school MIS (EdAdmin) and accounting platforms (Sage Evolution). 
  • Ensure consistent and reliable data exchange across systems. 
  • Design, implement, and maintain middleware and integration solutions. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and data integration issues. 

Automation & Scalability 

  • Develop automated workflows to reduce manual processing and errors. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through system optimisation. 
  • Support integration requirements linked to organisational growth and onboarding of new schools. 
  • Ensure systems are robust, scalable, and future-ready. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in database management and systems integration. 
  • Extensive experience with Sage People (essential). 
  • Proven experience implementing middleware solutions. 
  • Experience with school MIS systems (Ed Admin) and Sage Evolution will be an advantage. 
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and system architecture.
