Guiding our students, staff and school community to become empathetic, responsible and engaged members of society. This involves voluntary activities undertaken by students, staff and parents to support and improve the local community and make a tangible, lasting impact.
Through community service and learning about service by making a difference in our community, we cultivate a culture of giving, learning and growth.
The activities undertaken by the students under Service are Community Service, grade-based empathy trips, Game Rangers, Litter Police, under the theme, “Keep Sentinel Clean and Green”, Reverse Santa at the end of each year, Kindness Week and school-based gardening.
We have partnered with Brave Heart Orphanage in Maheba Refugee Camp and four surrounding community schools that cater for the underprivileged children within our catchment area.
Another arm of our Service pillar is Environmental awareness and sustainability. Our aim is to teach our students to take care of the environment as it will take care of them. This is done through many activities such as the “Keep Sentinel Clean and Green” campaign, Anti-Litter Campaign and the school gardening project.
